B i o g r a p h y

Lydia Marchione AGSM is a lyric mezzo-soprano of Sicilian-Maltese origin.

Trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London - obtaining an AGSM and subsequently completing the prestigious Opera Course - Lydia has over 30 years of experience as an opera singer, performing internationally, on London’s West End, and across the UK. Since 2006 Lydia has been a full time member of the Chorus of English National Opera. She has sung for companies such as Royal Opera House, English Touring Opera, Raymond Gubbay at the Royal Albert Hall, Pavillion Opera, Carl Rosa Opera, and English Chamber Opera.
